'Orville by Gibson' guitars were manufactured in Japan from 1988 to 1998. They were fully sanctioned Gibson guitars made for the Japanese domestic market and the production was managed by Yamano Gakki. They were built at the Fuji-Gen Gakki and Terada factories. These are high quality guitars that combine Japanese luthery with Gibson USA electrics.
